Lola McDonald - Guitar, Piano
(Beginning to intermediate acoustic, electric, and piano)

Hi my name is Lola and I teach beginning, to intermediate guitar lessons from ages 6 to adult; covering many elements of music including theory and rhythm.

I have 37 years progressive experience in music; from orchestra to choir to praise band and worship leader, to general music education and guitar instruction. For the last two years I have been the Music Education Teacher/Minister and Drama Coach at the Calvary Christian School. Teaching general music for grades K4 to sophomore level high school, covering elements of music theory, listening skills, rhythm, and music appreciation. I directed elementary, middle and high school choirs. Creating directing and leading middle and high school worship bands to lead in the upper class chapels. Leading all other school chapels from K4 to 6th grade. Organizing, administering and executing the Christmas Music Program and the end of school year recitals as well as Drama Club. Assisting in other areas of school operations including administrative when needed.

I have led and preformed with multiple praise bands. I was the first chair violist in an orchestra from 1969 to 1977; Vocalist in small traveling ensemble 1976 to 1978. I have received multiple Solo and Ensemble awards. A scholarship to The Shenandoah Music Conservatory and participated in the NVCC music major course of study.
